Siquijor Sunset and Other Photos.

Known as the Philippines' mystical island, Siquijor is the third smallest province in the country. In 1565, the island was first spotted during the Spanish expedition led by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. Siquijor was then named  "Isla del Fuego" (Island of Fire) because of swarming fireflies that make the island “glow”.
Here are some pics I took during my two month stay in the Mystical Island.

Cocos and Huts
This picture was taken from an established (and pricey) resort in San Juan -- Coco Grove Resort.
Heaven, perhaps.
I took this photo at a Japanese-owned beach resort -- Villa Marmarine beach resort.
Natural Curve.
During a road trip around Siquijor, this naturally curved island caught my attention.
Duplication, Procreation.
My camera focused on two butterflies' act of reproduction. (Butterfly Sanctuary, Siquijor)
The Battle fight.
Went on a picnic on top of Siquijor hills and this is what we saw: bull er, cow fight!
Fine Time.
This is what you will experience when you dine outside your home, by the beach.
Play of Lights.
This lovely sunset photo was taken in a remote fishing village called Pasihagon.
Blue and Green.
The lovely contrast of blue skies and green hills defines the beauty of nature.
Subtle Orange Domination.
It's almost like a normal scenery that everything turns into orange at around 5pm in Siquijor.
Sunset Fury. I tell you --- sunsets at Siquijor island look hellishly beautiful.
Time to be high.
This photo was taken at one of the budget resorts in the island -- Coral Cay Beach Resort.

Vessel at Rest.
This castaway boat was stuck dry during an extreme low tide near Siquijor Pier.
Crystal and Clear.
This is perhaps one of the most beautiful sceneries in the island--Salagdoong Beach Resort.
Ang Sihag.
This photo was taken at Pasihagon, Siquijor... "sihag" means rays in Bisaya language.
Life and Love.
Like the sunset, my stay at Siquijor was undeniably beautiful yet it was predictably fleeting.
