Haunted by University Hunting.

My favorite past time these days? UNIVERSITY HUNTING. It's when I'd spend hours searching for different universities and colleges around Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Tagum for  teaching opportunities. I'd usually visit university websites, examine their programs, and if lucky, start stalking university officials. ^_^

University hunting was a success. I have scattered countless of resumes and application letters all over the place. I'm taking my time; carefully planning and dealing with online work, soon-to-be teaching profession, and writing career. I need to balance all three to keep me sane and breathing.

Anyhow, the times I spent university hunting made me realize the need for university web designers to take up basic Visual Communication courses.

For instance, the USEP website above seemed to suggest that the poor school is haunted. Seriously, the freaking bloody font scared the shit out of me. Awooo... anyone?

Also, the motto of Liceo de Cagayan above made me question about my existence and the total human formation of my ass. The right term there is development, I think. Whatever. I couldn't care less, the university just sms'd: no vacancy next sem, Sen. Haha. Ok, but still I'm human and totally formed in spite of that.

Another Liceo de Cagayan classic above. A student from Liceo de Cagayan University loved the school so much that he set up a Facebook fan page for the school, with a love letter below: "pero way pulos ang halos estudyante kay walay klaro motudlo ang mga maestra ( but students are useless since teachers don't teach well)". How sweet. Haha.

San Pedro College website above is one of the reasons why I'm scared to enter religious schools: mysterious apparitions appear among holy people themselves.

I'll end this blog with a snapshot from Capitol University's website. The expression on the Japanese girl's face above is priceless. CU president visits Soka University Japan, DUH. By the way, Soka sounds like suka which, in filipino means either vinegar or puke. Duh.

Web Designers just have the skills but they are not that familiar with visual concepts - playing with color, using appropriate fonts, direction, position. blabla...

hahahaha! nagyawyaw jud daw ko. :D
